Write about ..... your hands

My daughter, Katherine, and I discussed our hands. We looked at them, reflected upon them.

"Mine look like working hands", I lamented, "They look like they are readiy to take on some task or another like kneading dough or howing the soil or building something."

Katherine's hands are graceful. They are dainty with long, statuesque fingernails and small, jewel-like nails.

Her fingers are ballet dancers. my fingers are... well? Not ballet dancers.

We chatted about this over breakfast at Carrows on Mt. Vernon and another woman there overheard and laughed. I felt embaressed.

Look at your hands - really notice your fingers, your skin, the hair on your hands.
