Questions:

What creative activity do you attempt when you are exhausted to the point of your soul being “as thin as a playing card”?

What is your standard response to life when you are tired?

What is your standard response to life when you are cranky?

What might happen if you did something completely contrary to your norm?

What would the activity of writing (blogging) change for you?

Lists:

Make a list of  5 – 10 blog posts, poems, essays, scripts, etc you want to write that may fall in the category of “changing everything.”

Make a list of 2 – 5 specific creative activities to engage in the next time your soul feels as thin as a playing card.

Make a list of 2 – 5 people you can contact when your soul feels “as thin as a playing card” and be in contact with them to see if they are willing to come alongside you as accountability/creativity partners.

Questions

What happens when you approach your business or life work from the perspective of an artist?

When you consider striking out alone, what does that feel like? Look like? What does it bring up in your heart and mind?

Lists:

Make a list of 5 to 10 teachers, leaders or companions in your life.

Make a list of 3 to 5 directions that sound exciting for you to take.

Make a list of 3 actions your teachers, leaders or companions made that surprised you and took them further down their road of choice.

Bonus: Match up the teachers with the directions and write an imaginery letter from the person, to you, about the direction you would like to take.

Questions:
What does "freedom" mean to you personally?

Where and when has your freedom been taken from you?

What are you willing to do to increase your boldness so that you may live a life of increased freedom?

Bonus: Write for at least ten minutes on each of these questions for three days in a row. Why three days? With each day the questions and your deeper ideas will come forward to assist you in getting where you most need to go and who you most need to be now. You may want to continue writing on these themes for even longer. Celebrate your successes.

Lists:

Make a list of 5 to 10 beliefs that aren't working for you.

Make a list of 5 to 10 coinciding personal declarations of freedom from those 5 to 10 beliefs.

If you would like suggestions and coaching how to do this, please visit this article about writing personal declarations in order to shift negative beliefs to positive action.

Integration and Application:

Choose one of your declarations to focus upon as a daily practice. Move through the list and continue daily for this month. If you have a writing practice, include writing your declaration repeatedly as a part of this practice.

There is Inspiration in the Air: Autumn & Art Every Day in Bakersfield

For Day 6 of Art Every Day Month, I'm switching gears.

Tuesdays I have the special joy of spending the afternoon with my favorite five-year-old on the planet. I realized before I went to pick him up from school I wouldn't have time to commit to creating anything with glue or paint or ink or even scavenging through my multitude of media.

Instead, a simple photo and a graphic I made for my "blog inspiration series"

Feeding the Ducks in Hart Park in Autumn - I had to stand behind the rare tree with colored leaves to get this shot. I like the dreamy feel in the edits.

The quote image below is for tomorrow's blog post for my blogging, writing & creative inspiration series.

I haven't written any content yet for the Eleanor Roosevelt quote and image yet. You'll have to come back later to check out that sure to be inspiring blog post! The background is a photo of tempera paint on paper. I painted it about three years ago and rediscovered it this weekend!

Inspiration for Your Blogging, Writing & Creativity: Begin Again. Start & Continue. Again.

What have you stopped that you wish you could begin again?

What have you learned since you stopped that would empower you to begin again better than before?

Lists

Make a list of 5 to 10 beginnings you would like to make in the next 12 months.

Make a list of 5 to 10 "new beginnings" (also known as "do-0vers") would you like to experience in the next 12 months.

BONUS: Create a list of your top 3 priorities from these lists, only prioritize in order of FUN rather than any sense of "I should...." Phase two: Stop stopping yourself! Begin again, continue. Again.

Take a walk around a block you are familiar with, specifically looking for hidden secrets you haven't ever noticed in the past. I guarantee you will find at least one, if not many, surprises. You may also wish to take photos of these treasures. Bonus: Write of the experience and/or use the surprises as a writing prompt themselves.

Day Two of #Bloggiesta --> Progress Feels So Good!

I have a full day ahead of me with no need to be anywhere at any specific time. The only thing on my schedule is.... two back to back episodes of Law and Order, SVU. Other than that, I am at my own whim here. I may do some prepping of several projects waiting for some attention, I may read a book and I am going to definitely make more progress on Bloggiesta!

I have managed to complete 2 mini challenges: I wrote my 50 Bookish Goals & I downloaded Pocket on both my computer and my phone (this is a featured from an old timey mini challenge. I'm always happy about finding new aps, so I'm including it.

I've posted 3 different blog posts, including scheduling Monday's for OctPoWriMo.com. I have been procrastinating on these so getting it in early was major! YAY me and #bloggiesta!

Included blog posts besides the OctPoWriMo one (which doesn't go live until Monday) are Nora: My Melanoma One Year Later are 5 Easy Steps to Be Your Teens DIY Rockstar

I participated in last night's twitter party. Wasn't as social as sometimes, but I got some good information.

I've commented on quite a few opening blog posts & thanks to those who commented mine so far!

Next up is to check out the next challenge I want to do (thinking SEO or Links?) and then am going to continue to set up my new computer. Woot!!
