I had no idea what was going to pop out of my mouth as I hit the start button on my camera to record today’s video. When I watched it back I noticed two things: how tired I looked and how right-on my message is.
Ironic, talking about self-care while being a bit “wrung out” and tired.
Seriously, though, as creative people, writers, makers as well as entrepreneurs, artists and Mommys - our awareness of our levels of need of self-care are as important as it is in California to be aware of how much water we are using. We are in a severe drought here. Last month California’s decreased their water usage by 29%. Our lawns show it.
In this case, I am proud of my “browning up” lawn and wish my neighbors would calm down their watering schedule.
As a creative person, though, I can keep my body nourished and hydrated, rested and inspired so very simply.
Watch the video to understand more, and then listen to the challenge I offer at the end.
So - take it on with me - what tiny step in self-care will you take this week?
e?
What are your thoughts this Thursday?
