I'll give you a brief report on what I see and then ask you again what you see.
This morning I have had a creative jog that has taken me into tears, has made my neck tight and has frustrated me to the point I would rather do laundry than sit at the keyboard, creating.
Thankfully, my stubborn streak is wider than my "I have to be right" streak.
I took some photos earlier after I dropped Emma at school that made me simultaneously brought tears to my eyes yet joy deeply into my heart. My focused contentment in the moments of creativity was so deep, I felt it in my feet.
I felt it as my feet left their imprint on the muddy soil.
I felt it as my feet left their imprint in the muddy soil and invited my eyes to follow suit. I took more photos. I came home and wrote haiku from those muddy ground photos.
This is one way the creative music plays, especially when we are careful enough to hear it and mindful and open enough to act upon it.
Creative music invited me to snap this photo.
Another chorus of the same song invited me to edit it and ask you the question,
I asked this question today on the Writing Camp Facebook page and even early on I have been astonished by what people are seeing and saying. I asked folks to respond in fewer than seven words if that was possible and guess what?
People are responding. Some are even responding in seven words or fewer than seven words.
The only thing missing, though, is you.
What do you see?
Tell me. Tell us. Let us know you are looking, that you are listening. Your presence is felt and we want to respond to it.
