I have been known to sign my emails with the phrase, "With Passionate Gratitude, Julie."
I used to think all those gratitude junkies were nuts until I became one myself: authentically, truly, with so much love bundled into it.
I kept gratitude lists for about seven years nearly daily and I don't know when I stopped or what had me stop, but when I look at what will lead us to live a more passionate life, Gratitude sings an undeniable song that is so defiantly hopeful - you can't help but sing along.
Gratitude is the perfect match for passion.
Thanksgiving with dancing shoes, perhaps.
Gratitude as Passion's doorway.
Gratitude as Passion's best friend, playing on the swings at the park and leaping off, holding hands.
Gratitude with a tissue when Passion simply must cry.
Passion pulling the comforter over Gratitude when she is overwhelmed and needs a nap.
When you choose to passionately cultivate gratitude, you will find yourself at a much deeper level of gratitude practice. There are times when I could barely lift my head to say "I am grateful for running water, I am grateful I have shampoo, I am grateful for my cat so I am not alone when I am feeling lower than low."
Yet - choosing to stay in practice and in the feeling of gratitude, that light continues to shine and passion feels stronger and stronger and yes, even stronger.
What are you grateful for today?
What are you passionately grateful for today?
Imagine swimming around in the warm waters of Passionate Gratitude today - and allow this energy to hold you up.
Now do not rinse and simply repeat for the next 31 and more days.
I feel your gratitude and passion growing from here.
