Creating my dream life...
I have spend a long time now with some aspects of my dreams buried underground. For the past few days, since I uncovered my new melanoma scar to the world, I have been able to rediscover some of those dreams AND have conversations with myself on a soul level as to what happened and what I made what happened mean in regards to risk stepping into my dreams again.
I somehow got tangled up in the loss, uncertainty of whether I was strong enough to voluntarily create the possibility of loss again, being unheard and being afraid of what might happen if I was heard in the wrong way again… there are many other pieces of ripe fruit waiting for me to come along and pick them, but the wonderful thing is…
I have my basket in my hand and I am willingly picking them up, taking a bite, chewing on them and being grateful for them… digesting them… and considering whether that is a conscious building block for me as I continue to create the next chapter of my dream life.
Yes, there have been many ways I have lived my dream life in the past few years. I have grown as a performer, as a writer, as a Mommy, as a friend, as a lover, as a visual artist, as a creative thinker, but I have left my specific entrepreneurial dreams behind due to being tangled up… wasn’t it Bob Dylan who had the song “Tangled up in Blue”?
Yes – it was Bob Dylan who wrote the song which was, I discovered he sometimes introduced this on stage by saying it took "10 years to live and 2 years to write."
He also wrote it while being influenced by taking art classes with Norman Raeben, a popular teacher in New York. Dylan says it was Raeben who helped him see from a nonlinear perspective.
I am not remotely at a level of Bob Dylan, but I appreciate the synchronicity here.
I can hear my friend Albert Einstein saying, “Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous.”
I want to tell God I am listening today. My ears, eyes and spirit are open to this wisdom AND I am looking forward to seeing what we create, together… all of us.
