Today's Blogfest Host is Susan from Today's Working Woman. She gave us a very familiar to me lately topic.... Insomnia. So, before I need to sleep let me tell you a bit about my recent relationship with Lady I.
Less than two weeks ago I had surgery to remove a melanoma from my face. First it was waiting for the biopsy results, expecting Basal Cell Carcinoma and instead being gifted with the “Big M” instead.
The nights leading up to the surgery were brutal, even with the generosity of my doctor who gave me medical assistance to get my eyes to close and my muscles to somewhat relax.
It didn’t work one-hundred percent, but it helped.
After the surgery, the pain medicine was another sleep inducer plus the sheer exhaustion from my body attempting to assist in the reconstruction of my face.
Two nights ago I couldn’t sleep, again.
Most of the unknowns have been answered, but there is just that little salty, dusty haze of doubt.
It is only 10:15 in California, but I think I’ll start attempting to go to sleep now.
