It would be so easy to give up. I’m behind.
At times it feels hopelessly.
I haven’t written many words since Thursday. I want to stay up late now on Sunday night but I would rather go to sleep and start fresh or….
You know that feeling, don’t you?
You just want to forget about how much fun it is for this particular project or follow that particular breadcrumb….
Thankfully, somehow, that sheer whatever-you-name-it – Spirit, grace, love, pumps through your veins and somehow on the morning after you thought all may as well be over, we reach through the dank mustiness and realize…. Wow, now I remember why I love to write!
Now I remember why I enter these challenges!
Now I remember why, even when I am healing and not so together in other places, in this passion of all my passions, I will continue. I will continue.
I have a staunch belief my words may be of service to someone on the planet or perhaps many someones on the planet. If I selfishly choose to give up writing, it is an action that hurts others.
When I tried to sleep last night, I had a slightly, if you insist, more than slightly tough time falling asleep and staying asleep. Anxiety was cranking up the volume.
When my alarm went off I got out of bed, wide awake, and started writing.
I’ve been writing off-and-on all day with breaks here and there to work on other art: my roses and a… what would I call it… tray like portable desk? I might even be complete with it tonight.
Right now it is in pieces, but once everything dries, it will be so fun to use!
If I had given up, today would have been lost to depression and disgust at once again proving to myself that I am a quitter. This takes so much more energy of the negative sort.
I am glad I chose the alternate.
