Another big day yesterday as I started creating my Yellow Wallpaper art as a part of my project. First, I went thrift store shopping for some raw material. I’m calling these my “canvases.”
Then I grabbed my two copies of the Yellow Wallpaper and started putting paint on them.
Finally, I cut out the first two pages (the front from one book and the back from the other) and began to adhere the pages to one of the spoons.
Yes, this is just a beginning, but it feels good.
As I was gluing, I focused on the women today who still feel the same way Jane feels in the Yellow Wallpaper. It was almost prayer like, definitely felt like I was creating sacred art.
I love this question Jane asks, and we all may ask, "What can one do?"
I am so grateful for the community with Art Every Day Month. Your comments yesterday caused so many smiles across my face!
May we continue to create together, separately, with passion and joy.
