A fantabulous day of creativity, even though I was stuck in a meeting ALL DAY LONG it felt great to get out of said meeting and go home!
I did all my creativity from 5:30 AM to 7:00 am. A tall order… AND
(you can tell it is still dark when I shot this photo, without flash)
I baked chocolate chip cookies for my daughter’s lunch + enough to share with other kids. I’ve found Emma has flourished in friends in direct correlation with how yummy and Mommy imbued I make her lunches. I also tried a new recipe: Chicken Balsamic Wraps. These were a big hit. Emma said, “I thought they would taste like McDonald’s wraps but they were SOOOO AMAZING!” (I would hope they are better than a fast food wrap!)
AND I finished my yellow wallpaper bowl. Oh, wow, I loved it! PLUS as I talk about my process, I want you to also consider this an open invitation to collaborate with me and a way to have your art be a part of my art, since this whole theme is about women artists… and though I am using depression and mental illness as my focus, you may write a letter to a woman artist or writer… a short poem… I want pieces hand written so that our spirits come through our words… much more so than typing.
Here is the bottom of my finished bowl project: my handwriting is messy! (I should have written on the paper before I adhered it to the bowl… a part of this project is making each piece better!)
If you would like to be a part of this by handwriting a note, letter, poem, whatever you choose… please email me (juliejordanscott at gmail.com) … or if you comment here with your email address included in your comment as well as something letting me know you want to participate, I can find your email that way, too, and send you details.
Hooray for Art! Hooray for Creating Separately Together!
