This week’s Wednesday Wishcast is perfect for me as I finally… after what seems like an eternity… am entering into this final ten days of transition between a houseful this Summer to stretches of six hours a day without anyone underfoot so that I can create, I can contemplate, I can discover….
Jamie asks us, “What do you wish to enjoy?”
I wish to enjoy….the moments as they meet me.
Normally I would say, “too trite and unspecific” and today, it feels right.
I wish to enjoy spending time working on art even before I write, as this past few months has been so language (talkety talkety talkety) heavy. Dipping into art without words is so soothing right now, as is the product that is blossoming because of my daily play.
I wish to enjoy the words as they flow off my fingers, off my pencil, off my tongue. May I honor their sacred curves toward meaning. May I be a conduit, servant and may I please… I am wishing to enjoy the process of their presentation to me and then out, again, to you.
I wish to enjoy my friends in this creative community: poets, visual artists, actors, Directors, etc. I wish to enjoy spending time with my friends again. Lately I have been hermit-like. Pointing back, I think, to my need and desire for the restoration which is beginning and will continue these next few weeks.
I wish to continue enjoying the pace I am creating for a life changing year via my work… not too fast, not too slow, and not too many “other” entanglements along the way.
I wish to enjoy my children this weekend, our last travel of this Summer ~ as we attend a family wedding in San Diego. May lots of smile filled photo ops fill my camera.
I wish to enjoy….the moments as they meet me.
