I have been away and/or busy for the past few weeks so I haven’t done a Creative Every Day check in post. I have been creating, just not writing about what I have been creating.
Mostly I have been waiting for today to come: it is the first day of school.
Last week, my children and I visited my parents in Flagstaff, Arizona. On our way, we traveled via Laughlin, Nevada and Oatman, Arizona.
I thought my check in today would include three of my favorite photos from our adventures. While traveling, photography and writing are my primary ways to express my creativity.
On Route 66 between Oatman & Kingman. Love the bursts of Red.
After a morning of hiking and geocaching, we ate lunch in the Forest and I taught Dad about "Let's raise the roof" ~ I love this fun photo for so many reasons.
Completely unexpected sight ~ no, there was no fence or barrier between our car and this incredible looking bull. He was quite the... bull.

Today I send my two younger children off to school: Emma to her first day of high school and Samuel to his first day of fifth grade. It is his last year at elementary school. I hadn't realized that amidst all the concern for Emma starting high school.
A week from now Katherine will be flying to Massachusetts for her second year at Smith College.
I am ready for these changes. I am ready for these changes? I am ready for these changes!
