I started the Postaday2011 Challenge in January and was actually posting nearly every day.
The year chugged on, I got extra busy~ even more busy than usual with travel as well as my normal life and I stopped. It got especially apparent in the middle of April, something I never expected. I always participated successfully in National Poetry Month, even when I was on the road I wrote poems daily.
And then yesterday was a big day for me which might seem like a nothing day to the more normal amongst us: it was the nine-months-until-the-Big-5-0 birthday.
I often think of nine-month increments in terms of pregnancy.
I have a pregnancy now as I wait until the magical day I turn 50 years old.
Unlike many, I look toward this birthday with excitement AND I want to create something magical, remarkable and memorable as I look toward January 29.
With that energy, I am renewing my devotion to the challenge... with my personal challenge being to post daily until my birthday on January 29.
Step one is replacing Emma's computer so my children aren't constantly wanting to use this computer, my one-and-only.
I write this and Samuel is hovering, wanting to use the computer. It is Saturday morning. I brewed Dunkin Donuts coffee thinking I would spend hours and hours at the keyboard, happily composing.
Plans and life change.
I am scooping up this challenge and running with it. I will write more in my notebook today, work on memorization and breathe deeply.
And pat myself on the back for posting this.
I can look toward the quickening that usually comes at about 15 or 16 weeks.
I am grateful you will be with me for the entire pregnancy. :-)
