Check out my fabulous dress in this photo of me, portraying Big Mama. Thank you, Michelle Guerrero for taking the photo.
This was the second weekend for "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and I am grateful to say I hit my emotional marks. This is a big deal because I wasn't wholeheartedly thrilled with my performances opening weekend, feeling like I had done better in rehearsals than the show. This weekend was better ~ it is almost like the lack of constant repetition improved me. Strange... but yes. It is so. Two more weekends to get it completely right ~ if you are near Bakersfield, come see us!
I have finished preparing the poetry pages from our Poetry Fire at the Close of the Visible Poetics art show.
Friday was a tough day and I took a photo of the process and the pages look like prayer flags and I did some editing of the photos.
I love how this one turned out. So vivid and so passionate.
Just like me.
Watch over the next few weeks as I take this Poetry Fire and turn it into another work of art.
Oh, and I thought those of you who are interested might enjoy the Poetry Fire video ~ just a snippet of what took place.
