Yesterday, I took just a moment and doodled this girl face. It didn't start as a girl face, it started as a... doodle.
And then I bravely made this girl face, even though I have this belief "I don't draw faces well" I dove in because I have learned there are different ways to draw faces. All faces don't have to be like photographs. They don't have to be symmetrical or even remotely real. I love this girl face, and I love that the page she is doodled on is all about classics.
I call her "Classic Doodle Girl" and she is drawn on this foundation:
"A true classic is an author who has enriched the mind, increased its treasure, and caused it to advance a step."
I like that. I like this girl. And I like where I have dared to go this project I made a couple years ago while participating in Art Every Day Month.... which given this definition describes AEDM as well. Thank you, Leah....
I wrote a bunch of verbage before I wrote this, but I will save it for later - perhaps tomorrow or Wednesday.
It has been a curvy, back and forth, up and down journey to Classic Doodle Girl and... I like it... I have enjoyed it. Pure and simple.
