Yesterday all my creativity was bound up in performance. Rehearsal for performances. And photography of rehearsals for performance. Oh, wait. I did take some still photos from a High Tea I attended. I will post one of them here.
(I have never attended a high tea until yesterday, so it was a special girl-y treat in the middle of a very busy day.)
Plus I did manage to sit for about thirty minutes with my notebook and wrote without a purpose. Sounds contrary AND it was lovely.
I also pondered the color GREEN which is not one I have ever chosen first... until this past week.
I had a conversation with Seymour about it, since art is his profession. "What does Green mean?" I asked him.
"Rebirth," he said. "Regeneration."
I googled "meaning of green" and got "Life and Renewal: Green is life. Abundant in nature, green signifies growth, renewal, health, and environment. On the flip side, green is jealousy or envy (green-eyed monster) and inexperience."
Makes me think of Spring and new beginnings and yes, in the beginning there may be envy.
There is a lot of rebirthing going on around me and within me. In the midst of leaves leaving the trees and winter knocking on my windows, Spring is awake in my pulse. I love paradox. I am opening my arms to it today.
