From Beloved Gwen Bell’s BestO9 Blog Challenge:
December 18 Shop. Online or offline, where did you spend most of your mad money this year?
I spent the most mad money, in general,
on Ebay this year and that is a first for me. I have never shopped much there,
but after finding some fantastic school clothes for the kids and several
costumes for me, I was hooked.
A close second would be Amazon, which I
use for more than just books… and my special favorite on Amazon are used books,
especially cheap text books.
I am not much of a shopper at all,
though locally, any extra mad money I had went to buying craft supplies or
photography supplies: prints, frames, reprints, etc.
In 2010, I would like to shop at more
out-of-the-way Antique Stores, Thrift Stores and flea markets. I have been
pretty booked solid with show after show after show, and since it is Katherine’s
senior year, I am not going to give up so much time for theater. She and I love
antiquing, so I am going to intentionally do more of that as well as crafting
all year long and squirreling crafts and art projects I make for NEXT December.
One of my projects as this year comes to a close requires
JARS (like the ones used in canning.) I looked online and thought they would take
too long to get here. Yesterday I was at my local Mom-and-Pop market and there
they were – Jelly, Jam and preserve jars which weren’t any more expensive than
the discounters on-line.
I bought an 8 pack. *Smile*
