Today's OctPoWriMo prompt made me giggle just because of the weather here in Bakersfield. I thought, "All I can manage (more appropriately) what I can manage is a haiku of what Autumn is, today, in Bakersfield.

Not quite that hot here, but still T-shirt weather. Tonight we're expecting a gale, so tomorrow may not be so good.

Certainly fall here in the Northeast - 60 degrees and sunny - perfect fall weather - so I wrote about baseball! :)

I love haiku. Love it!
It is much cooler in Corning, NY - 50 and 60's and cloudy. The epitome of Autumn. And very colourful.

Hah! Julie, I think I know exactly what you mean. I live in Hawai'i. I haven't seen a true autumn in 3 years. I think I made that prompt as a way to reminisce. lol.
