Photo Prompt from OneStopPoetry.com via their Poetry Challenge:
(Photo courtesy of Jack Az Photography)
Oh, to have the courage
to disguise myself and
be wholly and holy myself
and stand and move and be passion simultaneously
Oh, and to double
the courage to
show up not in
a safe, cozy theater
but in a riotous
netherland of reality
Oh, to pray he makes
more than pennies
before his fingers
get tired

"to double / the courage to / show up not in / a safe, cozy theater / but in a riotous / netherland of reality" You just made me feel sorry for Darth Vader... Sharing one's passion among complete strangers can be quite intimidating and often requires that double-dose of courage. Nice take on the prompt, Julie.

I like the way you stepped in his shoes, showing fear even in disguise, then feelng for the artist.
Peace, hp

Fantastic. No greater good than to be wholly yourself, have passion, courage and one who makes more than pennies ;)

"more than pennies" Oh my, you reminded me that indeed he did get more than pennies as I dropped the last of my Canadian coins into his violin case. Wonderfully written!
