All week I have been "meaning" to write a pantoum for the Thursday Poets Rally and today, at the last moment, my poem is complete.
Jingle is the organizer of the rally - it is a phenomenal opportunity for poets to gather, write and encourage one another. Check it out here.
Wicker Basket, Empty
Wicker basket empty except for the checkered table cloth
Buckle the life jacket to retrieve the nuggets from the water
Messenger river stones skipped into the watery waistline
There, there - see the traces, the silvery blue outlines
Buckle the life jacket to retrieve the nuggets from the water
Hear it, the what's missing between the shouting silence
There, there - see the traces, the silvery blue outlines
Seeking nameless, nearly formless, gooey solid bricks
Hear it, the what's missing between the shouting silence
Found beside the empty swallow's nest in the Linden tree
Seeking nameless, nearly formless, gooey solid bricks
Balance restored, knee bent, sole flat against the inner thigh
Found beside the empty swallow's nest in the Linden tree
Mulberry tree hides it swallows it, there beneath the massive leaves
Balance restored, knee bent, sole flat against the inner thigh
Crackling dryness smoothed edges guide the path to discovery
Mulberry tree hides it swallows it, there beneath the massive leaves
Wicker basket empty except for the checkered table cloth
Crackling dryness smoothed edges guide the path to discovery
Messenger river stones skipped into the watery waistline
How can we do pantoum in blogs? Nobody can see what we're pretending to do! Oh wait, that's pantomime - my bad!
Nice idea - there's always room for one more poetry venue.
And yes, Jingle IS a great person to help draw 'em in!

it takes me a while to finish reading your piece,
I have to say, you have gone deep in nature and dug deep in portraying the relation between human and the surroundings.
a work in depth,
I admire your gift in writing it.

While reading your Love with the Nature, I couldn't help myself singing to the lines.. They were perfect lines for a Happy Poem.. So artistically expressed your joys and experience..
Beautiful

Your piece reminds me of the peace I felt just getting away from everything while I was diamond hunting...I didn't find any but I was able to clear my head from all the clutter just sitting in my little area screening dirt! :)
