I see I'm not the only one inspired by coffee.

Thanks for passing this dish for the potluck!

Great read :D~ I am drifting around the room :3

Thank for sharing this wonderful poem, happy poetry potluck^^~

Oh how familiar this sounds!! Do all of us writers have a control-wielding TV junkie in our houses while we try to control our own urge for coffee? I love the way you paint the picture and express the anxiety, then the peace - ahhh escape - of writing.

I am addicted to coffee I think...beautifully crafted and thanks so much for linking with Potluck. Hugs xx

Wow-- the murkiness of what you hint at is so intriguing-- the secret life of the poem's persona leads the reader down a mysterious path. I put a couple of my sonnets from last year into the Potluck from my 1-a-week stash, both on the theme of mystery and contemplation of the unknowable. Enjoyed this alot!

The last stanza is so sad...and the love slipping into the sunset is such great imagery.

Oh my.. this was such a lovely read, albeit sad towards the end, but beautiful nonetheless!!
The ultimate separation and distance between a poet and the muse - (sigh) .. well, that's how I looked at it here.. I might be totally off though..

In any case, it was an absolute stunner! Aah...coffee..
Thanks for sharing this brew at our poetry potluck!! It smelt and tasted delicious!
