After last week's lengthy three word wednesday fairy tale poem, I return to the 3ww fold with my shortest poemlette yet....
Thom's words this week: Gentle, Praise, Vulgar
and my tiny poem/question:
Listener
Why is it
a regular thing
For
generous, gentle praise
Gets morphed
into something vulgar
When put
into the hearing
Stream of
a thoughtless,
Immature listener?
It's not the length, but how a poem speaks to us. And this speaks of truth.

A great truth delivered in a short, punchy manner. Excellent.

Yes! You are spot-on in this poem. Such a frustrating phenomenon. (Great job!)

Unfortunately some believe they are being clever when smudging decency! Well expressed!

This reminded me of a child's game called 'Telephone'. You say something to one kid and after it goes around the room, it's completely different.
