Those final two stanzas rocked my socks off, Julie. Absolutely loved them.

As to a prize...well, I consider friendship quite a prize and one to be valued highly...so....

Well, if I'm the 500th, I guess I got my prize reading the poem.

wow, love this one, Julie. I smiled reading it, relating to it. virtual hugs would be a great prize or maybe a letter! love snail mail.

A question we must all ask on occasion.

Andy Sewina

I like the strength of this, the way she questions, the way she suggests, the way she accepts who she really is.

Surprise me!

Julie Jordan Scott

You are it, Andy. The 500th! Can you hear the bells ringing?

this coming of age, coming into herself poem works so well with the image. I loved it! I still hear bells echoing - congrats on 500 comments!

Crystal Phares

Wonderfully written and the last two stanzas are perfect! Thank you for sharing!

Tim Remo

I liked the power of the ending: 'Hidden by carefully stitched seams'. Her true self lies under the reality of what people/institutions have crafted her to be.

Well done. Well done.
