beautiful poem, julie. just beautiful. sometimes we are so silly to think what's important ("me" and what "me" loves to do) don't matter. risk, in this light, is always worth the reward because it seems the reward is doing what you love, and anything else is a bonus.

i just love your expression, my friend.

i love how you've provided us with insight into your process and some of the backstory for the poem! i like process and backstory nearly as much as i like poetry itself. :)

The end is lovely...one on one.

I really love that it is so true. This a great poem! Nice flow of words. I also feel like I have known your words for a long time.
