Matthew

I've got to give it to you: you're really letting the emotions fly with these. I may be daddy instead of mommy, but I know these feelings well.

Only two more to go, and I predict they will be at least as powerful as this one!

Linda Jacobs

As a high school English teacher, I so want all my female students to have a mom like you!

Your laugh was the song
I wanted to hear
Perfect pitch rising
Angel sounds within

These lines took my breath away! Beautiful, beautiful poems you've got going here!

And your daughter is beautiful, too!

Julie Jordan Scott

Thank you, Matthew and Linda. These poems are brutal... and I love it. Katherine is a one-of-a-kind young lady. I can't imagine how it will be without her day-to-day presence and yet, I am pushing her from the nest - encouraging her... while loving her so much it hurts my heart to think of her going to sleep, far away, without me there to physically watch over her.

Minerva

Oh, this is so sweet. I have the same feelings about my son, but I do hope someday to share that kind of bond with a daughter. I hope you showed her this!

Therese Broderick

This poem speaks to the mother in me as well, especially to the ten-year-stay-at-home-mom in me. The details ring true: muffins (my daughter recently baked cupcakes and pumpkin pie), dresses, parties. Thanks for sharing your heart.
