Welcome to And Now You Write. We are grateful you are here today to write alongside us. Before you read the lesson, allow the prompt of the day to seep into your mind. Don't actively seek the words yet, instead allow it to just be there, settling into your mind, as you go through the lesson itself.
PLEASE NOTE: There are no live writing sessions this weekend. We will be back on Monday for more writing tele-sessions.
Today's Writing Prompt: It is Friday & Time for writing play! Writing Prompt includes our Word Lists + "The story goes like this...."
Audio Lesson:
This week we have spent time taking writing risks and soaking in gratitude for "What's next?" and "What's up?" We have written using the Beginner's Mind and we have focused on writing the specifics of setting and place. We have worked on improving our writing skills and the a-ha's have been strong and steady.
We have covered a lot of ground with our writing.
I have often found myself to be the most productive when I follow up writing with that level of intensity with an entirely different level of intensity: that of writing play. Sometimes we forget about the power of playfulness, the power of delighting in the unexpected with a childlike curiosity and joy.
Today, we are going to play with word sounds, settings, tastes, colors and emotional states by taking random words and stirring them up into our own versions of Word Stew. For those people on the live writing session (the recording will be added after 9:15 am Pacific time) we will be adding more random words into our word pools. For those of you working independently, do the same thing. I have started you off, now you continue coming up with words. Ready?
