Today is December 31, 2005 and I am sooooo grateful!

Wow. It is the end of an incredible year and I am SOOOOOO grateful!

Specifically I am grateful for....

The growth, connections, and artistry inherent in 2005

Creating improv poetry with Emma as we walked in the National Park yesterday - as we discussed art and artist's choices and Sam "improvved" owning a camera.

The gorgeous lava flows at Wupatki - the visual, natural reminder that life and love will not be denied.

Blue skies that go on (and on and on and on!) so that we could see more than 100 miles away.

It is December 29 and am soooo grateful!

Today, from the road again, I am so grateful for....

Breakfast n the lobby, witnessing so many different people - all delightful in their own way (except, I thought when I first wrote this, one person's Dad who proved me wrong! Another thing to be grateful for indeed!)

Seeing Jim, Maria, John and Mom last night at Fazoli's, watching Jim and Emma fall in love.

The park here in Flagstaff, watching all 3 kids swinging side-by-side.

Sam watching his sister's pump the swings and mimicking their movement.

The fresh, clean, crisp air gently kissing my face.

The Super 8 Motel here in Flag, with Fridge, Microwave, high speed internet, indoor pool, and Barnes and Noble as my living room!

It is December 27 and I am soooo grateful for...

Last night's set work and individual sessions with
the Actors who were present.  SOOOOOO very cool!
SOOOOOO much growth! Reinforced my mantra, "You don't
hafta stay stuck in a choice you don't want to make!"

Roger's wisdom - and being able to tap into the experience
and expertise of someone I respect so highly.

1.  Emma's new doll, "Emerald Orchid"

4.  Portable DVD players so that I can watch
movies while cuddled under warm comforters and
have my precious children watch special scenes
with me like Natalie Portman in "Garden State"
acting just like Emma ten-years-from-now.

5.  Fog and cleaner air

6.  Sam's simple happiness about candyland and
his cars, and laughter about his apathy towards
gorgeous, award winning hand made doll from Nana,
AKA my mother!

7.  Pancakes

8. Ponytail Holders, curling irons, hairspray

For the plaque from the Miracle cast - how very kind
and thoughtful of them.... for my future awards room
or the Julie Jordan Scott "Smithsonian" (Or is that
The Jordansonian?)

I am grateful for the fog this morning - more
Winteresque weather again

I am grateful I got to talk to Victor last night,
it had been far too long.

I am grateful for this pen, so comfy and form
fitting to my hand.

I am grateful that I am having coffee with Michelle
this morning.

I am grateful that Carla and Glen put up
the set already - YAHOOOOO!!

I am grateful for reconciliation and finally forgetting
to be afraid.

I am grateful for coffee accompanied morning pages.

I am grateful for Rainer Rilke and the folks
who translate his work from German to English.

I am grateful my children are so excited about
the holidays - it helps ease my slight cynicism
in this one area - which is out of character yet
I wouldn't be truthful if I denied it.

Today is December 21 and I am SOOOO grateful!

I am grateful for....

The meeting with Carla about the 5Women Set - yet another
person circling from my past to the present and into
the future, there has been a lot lately.

Blueberry muffins - lusciously spread with real
whipped butter

The 5 Women cast and our "unconventional" rehearsals
with Mary Kay and Dress Up and pictures and lovin'
one another. 

Rilke's Book of Hours and the translaters of this
particular version, Anita Barrows and Joanna Macy
and they are coming out with a new Rilke book
in a couple months how amazing is that?!  (I swear,
I think it is just for me!)

Sam's sweetness as he knows exactly what he needs
to feel better (right now it is lying in bed
and watching boomerang!)

Katherine's penchant for stringing popcorn.

Restfulness, more than usual - and more that
is coming right around the corner
