Today - September 30 - I am SOOO grateful.....

Here are my gratitude thoughts - add yours at the bottom -

1.  Nick and Jimmy from The Junction - and Nick surprising
me with my "challenge" songs.

2.  True Tales 2 rehearsal - enjoying it so much -and glad
to hear I am doing so well, too - I find I am more concerned
about my abilities than usual.

3.  Katherine - for being such a happy helper.

4. Sam got to sleep relatively early last night

5.  Emma's book order from school

6.  The scent of pancakes permeating the kitchen

7.  Coffee, brewing in tandem with the pancakes

8.   My relatively wide-open weekend which includes
football, auditions which I can help with (partially energetic
prep for the Miracle auditions) seeing a movie, hanging
out with friends.... seeing a play. All is grand!

A Story of Today's Gratitude PLUS add YOURS here....

My gratitude list has a story today.

Usually writing my lists is one of my first
tasks of the day – I consider gratitude to be
foundational in my life. There are no ifs,
ands and buts, I need to express gratitude in
specific terms and I know this practice
brings me joy, adds to my energy
every time and floats magic into the world.

Today my computer froze so I couldn’t
post my list across the internet
in its usual places.

What a drag, I thought.

I didn’t know in several hours I would
feel so much more grateful and have
so much more to add.

SO! Here is my list – and starting with
“Zannie’s dream – well, those are the ones
whose presence on this list is especially
because of this “delay” which was,
naturally – perfect… not a delay at all!

Today I am so grateful:

That my car broke down in the middle of the night
with only me and my friend, Vanessa in it - no
kids so I could deal with it from a more calm,
centered, no-worries space.

My practice at being patient

Zannie's dream about coming to Bakersfield

Today is September 28 and I am SOOOO grateful....

Today, September 28, 2005 I am so grateful for...

The cast of True Tales II, I didn't realize this would
be so much fun -

All the participants in my programs, past - present -
and future

CAVA - hooray, all of Katherine's books are now here!

Showstoppers class at Spotlight Theatre and especially
Ariane, who took note of all my suggestions after
a not-so-faboo experience in the past (where it
will remain, in the PAST!)

The scent of coffee brewing behind me as I write
my gratitudes and my morning pages

The relatively open weekend ahead - which means
I can actually go to a FOOTBALL GAME! Be still
my heart!

Surprising re-connections with people - I can
feel myself opening.

Today is September 27, 2005 and I am so grateful....

1.  To live in "La Cresta" what a cool sounding neighborhood
and what glorious, artful neighbors I have here!

2.  Coffee... yum my morning friend

3.  The view from my bedroom window - plums, lilacs, wildflowers,
homes for the birds that cavort in my presence

4.  The Sacred Sixty in its perfect, present incarnation

5.  The people lining up and waiting for my programs to begin

6.  Passionate Detachment

7. Memories of Mike

8.  Hank and Buttercup and Katherine's willingness to walk
them this morning because I had such a full plate.

9.  Rehearsal for "True Tales II" last night - I keep leaving
feeling SUCH intense contentment... hooray!

Today is September 26, 2005 and I am soooo grateful for....

Today is September 26 and I am so grateful....

1.  For Fame's successful run and HOORAY! It has
closed... I also enjoyed popping by Jeny Rendt-Scott
Sanchez' house yesterday.... she is so dear and I
love that we live so close we are neighbors.

2.  "True Tales 2" rehearsal last night - so fun, so simple.

3.  Dropping in on Actor's Jam in the "spare" moments
I squeezed out of the day.  It was a blast.

4.  Hanging out with Kevin yesterday while I worked
box office at BCT.

5.  Saying "Give me your best reindeer" and getting it!

6.  Katherine, Emma, Sam.

7.  Bumping into Summer at Kosmos, remembering when
she called me the "Cabaret Chick" and learning
not to be intimidated by me!

8.  Seeing Sheila and David at "Fame" closing night.

Today is September 23, 2005 and I am SOOOOO grateful....

To have had such a successful run with "Fame"
and as we come into closing weekend, I am
looking so forward to having the next several
weekends blissfully off....

For my beloved friend, Maria - for her beauty,
her boldness, her unique and loving self which
she shares so completely with those who
know and love her.

For the beautiful blue sky this morning which
I breathed in like a baby at her mother's breast
this morning as I drove Emma to school.

For the laughter shared last night as Emma
and I completed her homework.

For Sam's delectable laughter - what a sweet,
stubborn, child he is!

For the many people who are calling me about
the "Miracle on 34th Street" auditions and the
people who are excited about supporting me
in this latest adventure.

The folks at the MMB at PlanetSark and the
dear ones at Sondheim.com -

For my notebooks, pencils and paper

For the servers at Carrow's, where Katherine
and I are going to go for breakfast as soon
as I complete my practices - those servers
who have known me since I was pregnant
with Emma and have seen oh so many
miraculous changes since then - they were
like my "Cheers" when I really, really needed
a "Cheers" so very badly.....

The surprising rain we had last night – reminded me of middle of the night thunderstorms I experienced as a child.
