At times our own light goes out and is rekindled
by a spark from another person. Each of us has
cause to think with deep gratitude of those who
have lighted the flame within us.
Albert Schweitzer
We are blessed - we are connected with souls
of humanity who have the capacity to add to our
increase to invigorate and enhance our lives
in ways we never imagined.
Spark rekindlers are unique beings whose warmth
flows across space and time to ignite passion in
others, even passion that seems to have been
doused with the damp, dank heaviness that
says "Nope, not ever, no how - forget it."
Today, bring sparks to the lives of at least
one other person.
Light some flames today.
Add to the collective good of all.
Now - for my gratitude list:
Today, June 21, 2005 I am sooooo grateful for.....
1. Being awake for the sunrise... and allowing
myself to witness its gentle good morning kiss
upon my face.
2. Laugh-In rehearsal last night - where I laughed
and laughed and laughed. (I hope the audiences
enjoy this as much as I do!)
3. The call-backs for "Fame." I know it is odd, how
much I enjoy auditioning. It is sooooo much fun
for me to "put on" characters... even if it is only
for a few moments. I even enjoyed the dancing
portion of the audition in spite of my worry. I didn't
think or judge, I simply moved my body and away
it went!
4. My mother, who ably took my children from place
to place last night - and enjoyed them during the day
as well.... and managed to get Sammy to sleep before
I got home from rehearsal. YAHOOOOO!
5. The soft breeze - a part of this cool, luscious
weather we have been having lately.
6. Coffee, my notebooks, my pencils, pens and
paper - dear, beloved companions and friends!
7. Stephen Sondheim
