Preface: Whatever your profession or life work is, replace the word "writer" with that. If writing is something you hope to incorporate with your life work, write from both perspectives and see what sort of "a-ha's" you discover.
"You need a certain amount of nerve to be a writer."
In this precise moment, how would you describe your current level of "nerve"?
Describe what you need to do/accomplish/experiment with to increase your level of nerve -
Make a list of 5 - 10 people you know personally who you would describe as being bold or courageous.
Make a list of 5 - 10 writers you respect who you would describe as being bold or courageous
Bonus: Notice what attributes are common amongst these people. Free write about what you associate with boldness, courage and these people.
Make a list of 5 - 10 actions you can take to raise your level of nerve or boldness or courage to match the people on your lists.
