I don’t remember many of my sleeping dreams lately. I often attribute this to lack of sleep and the inability of my conscious mind to partner with my subconscious mind. I will be joining a dream group this Fall, so I think, as a result, my dreams and dream patterns will come clearer to me.
At least I hope they will.
I find when I focus on my dreams, they smile at me more. They flirt with me, first showing one image and then the next and then I find I am actually able to talk about them while making some sense. I remember at my first couple dream group meetings I couldn’t believe how detailed many of these women were about their dreams!
I envy the women with the multifaceted dreams.
I feel so dull in comparison.
Somehow when I reached up to scratch lightly at my face just now I started to bleed. Naturally I wonder if somehow this is a sort of metaphor. I realize this is my first SOCSunday at my new desk. It is my first SOCSunday since I went to my doctor about this “lesion” (new name for it) on my face. She called it suspicious. This made me call it scary and set off red alert buttons all over my mind.
It is the day before school starts. Samuel, my eleven-year-old son with autism is a nervous, cranky mess.
Sometimes I think my life is so full with stuff like this: worries, others needs from me, etc which lead to sleep deprivation also lead to dream deprivation. What do you think?
This was my 5 minute Stream of Consciousness Sunday post. It’s five minutes of your time and a brain dump. Want to try it? Here are the rules…
- Set a timer and write for 5 minutes.
