I have had some wildly wonderful writing times this week, my dear ROW80 friends! I hope you have, as well, and better yet - I hope you will tell me about those moments.
The most notable was yesterday when in my 9 AM Wordmongering session I wrote a 1653 word monologue in thirty minutes. Yes, it was rough drafty AND how remarkable it felt to sit there and pound out those words.
I laughed, I cried, I remembered, I prayed, I intended.
Yes: this is how passionate writing feels and sounds and tastes.
For those of you who don’t know what wordmongering is yet: it is an around the clock opportunity to do a wordsprint in community at the top of every hour. There is no “officialness” about it except for the twitter hashtag and hopefully, people to write alongside as you speed write for thirty minutes at a time. To see the complete explanations from the women who founded it, click on the image above.
I have discovered a couple things via #wordmongering and her cousin, the #Row80 #wordsprint at 11 AM weekdays via my #teamsprinty pals.
#1) I write quickly
#2) I am most productive when I write in community
#3) When I scrape away all the other stuff roaming around my brain, there are usually a couple minutes left, almost like remnant minutes, which get filled with nuggets at the end. Sometimes those nuggets are gold and sometimes they are dandelion seeds tossing about in the wind.
No word is wasted during my fast writing moments.
Saturday night I will perform my first ever “wordmongered” writing. I am looking forward to it. If I get anyone to video tape it (which I hope to do) I will post it here next week on my Wednesday update.
Just wanted to remind you my “nitty gritty fact/wordcount/goal” check in will continue on Sundays. These Wednesdays will feature more about who I am being as I continue with this challenge.
My WIP is moving along, still volleying about 500 plus or minus words daily. I am writing my forgiveness poems (sometimes they surprise me, too!). I am blogging and tweeting and bringing word-love havoc wherever I go.
What have been your favorite moments of writing this week?

I love writing sprints. I have never managed such a high wordcount in half an hour--I generally can do that in an hour--you must be super speedy!
I do the #1K1hr twitter sprinting too. Much fun!
Go you! What wonderful progress!

Seeing you at the #wordsprints is a hoot, Julie. I'm sorry I missed them today. You guys always make me smile. And seeing your great word counts inspires me.
The idea of posting some of your sprinted words is really cool. I'll have to check out your new piece when it comes up.
